troubleshooting
Open the lid from the trim portion. Locate the steel chrome rod at the rear of the unit and wipe and lubricate it using WD-40 or similar lubricant.
To close the lid properly, separate the lid and trim with your hand and manually push the trim down. When pushing it down, you will hear a slight noise. The noise you are hearing is normal and will not harm the can in any way. Watch our video on how to close the lid.
Clean with diluted household bleach and water solution to take away the smell caused by germs and bacteria. Baking soda solution may work too. Most liquid bleach bottles have instructions and directions printed.
